Plant Manager required for a reputable water treatment company based in Witbank (eMalahleni) , Mpumalanga
Requirements:
Qualifications: B.Eng or BTech in Chemical Engineering (Chemical Engineering Qualification is preferred. Civil and Mechanical will be considered depending on relevant experience)
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in advanced water treatment.
Experience in RO, UF, Precipitation, Clarification will be an advantage
Previous experience in managing staff will be an advantage
Understanding of plant health and managing water treatment assets.
Relevant management experience
Proven record of satisfactory prior performance
Computer skills: Word, Excel, data base, power point and e-mail
Good communication and Interpersonal skills
Skills in planning, attention to detail and process troubleshooting
Ethical and responsible behaviour

Client management
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage respective Plant Supervisor(s), Production & Maintenance teams within the area of responsibility
Manage production & maintenance team utilization and performance / output
Responsible for plant performance and Compliance to contractual quality and quantity KPI’s
Take accountability for Safety Performance in accordance with the MHSA/OSHA legal appointment.
Maintain effective administration and control procedures to meet performance objectives, including financial control, HR/IR, procurement and stock management.
Continuous improvement and optimization of processes
Implement and maintain Financial Control with Profit & Loss accountability for the plant(s)
Monitoring and detail records and reporting on all aspects of the processes, ongoing projects
Ensure efficient resource management of employees to ensure they can meet the performance objectives required of them.
Ensure client satisfaction by delivering a professional and high-quality service.
Client feedback meetings and reporting as required
Compile Plant Reports and attend client meetings as required
Monitor plant health and pro-actively intervene to ensure plant availability is optimized
Effective reporting to the Operations Manager of the area
Perform plant operational standby duties
