National Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics
A minimum of 5 years of Metrology measuring experience (tactile or optical)
A minimum of 5 years of measuring software experience (PC-Dmis, GOM, Polyworks)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Offline and teach programming experience of CMM facilities
Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office - Excel, Power Point
Working knowledge of CAD software (Catia preferable)
Working understanding of CMM maintenance and TPM
Interpretation of technical drawings
Design and building of measuring fixtures
Sound understanding of the vehicle manufacturing process (Press Shop, Body Shop, assembly, purchase parts manufacturing)
Problem-solving skills
Analytical thinking capability
Planning and prioritization skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct dimensional measurements of vehicle components to ensure conformity to drawing specifications
Conduct detailed measurements and analysis to aid the parts approval process of internal and external supplier parts
Provide dimensional analysis and problem-solving ability to successfully resolve production concerns and improve the overall product quality
Conduct dimensional approval of vehicle components to ensure the successful release of components at the correct quality levels at relevant PEP milestones
Provide support to the external supplier base to ensure correct dimensional Metrology methods and principles are applied to ISO/V DA requirements
