Warehousing:
Manage inventory of all SKUs/Product item codes in the warehouse and establish controls to ensure the warehouse is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk
Receiving inventory accurately and in a timely manner, verifying product quality, using appropriate technology, and maintaining necessary records
Maintaining the quality of inventory by using proper storage and handling equipment and procedures and first-in-first-out procedures
Inventory visibility and accuracy through periodic cycle counts and physical reconciliation of Inventory against ERP system as well as root cause analysis and reporting on any stock differences.
Adherence of Safety norms & policy compliance and implement lean management tools to make warehouse safer and productive.
Picking and Shipping of material against the customer sales orders following the dispatch plan, in order to achieve maximum On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries
Implement visual management standards and stacking measures for easy access and tracking of products
Ensure material movement based on FIFO work flow system in warehouse.
Effective utilization of MHE Crane, Forklifts, etc. and improve worker productivity
Effective coordination with Procurement and Sales team for smooth flow of receipt & issue of material
Analyse inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, reduce risk of obsolete stock items or optimize customer service.
Improve Inventory visibility and availability of material as per the requirement which will help the sales team to achieve their targets.
Better Inventory control by identifying and review the non-moving or slow-moving Inventory lying at warehouses and sharing the data on monthly basis for the liquidation plan
Directed, optimized warehouse activities to reduce picking time and product touches
Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximise efficiency and minimise overtime
Administration:
Support and implement Company initiatives to achieve performance, quality and safety metrics
Contribute to periodic departmental and company planning and budgeting cycles
Implement and drive continuous improvement program in warehouse function and establish high level of performances & standards.
Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
Select, evaluate and develop department employees, following general HR policies
Evaluate the training needs of all staff reporting to the position and ensure appropriate plans are in place
Maintain 100% accuracy in documentation, data management and compliance of SOPs.
Actively support the management team in implementing company-wide policies/procedures and action plans
Collaborate with Warehouse Managers of other Group companies on sharing best practices and improving performance
Ensure the safeguard and security of Company assets
Ensure that adequate insurance policy cover is arranged by the company for goods in transit and in stores
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
Requirements:
Minimum academic qualification: Bachelors degree
Qualifications as an added advantage: Certified Course in Supply Chain
General work experience (years): 12+ years in ERP based Supply Chain environment
Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 5 years in a similar role
Industry: Logistics, Consumer goodsKnowledge of Lean Tools Six Sigma, KAIZEN, 8 Waste (Muda), 5S etc.
