DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS:
Our client is a leading organization operating in the engineering and manufacturing sectors, globally. We’re assisting them in the search for an experienced Financial Manager to join their Sasolburg-based Operations. This senior-level position will report to the MD and will be responsible for leadership, strategic planning, directing, and controlling of all financial activities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified accountant (CA or CIMA)
3 - 5 years experience in a senior financial management role.
Experience in Manufacturing/ Construction/ Heavy Engineering/ Energy sector essential
IFRS, GAAP, and US GAAP up-to-date knowledge
Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance experience.
Good commercial and business awareness
Sound business acumen
Excellent leadership, people, and team-building skills
Expertise in ERP system implementation and support.
Knowledge of Costing/project management/Project costing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Financial Manager will be responsible for providing control functions in order to ensure finances are managed according to legislation, policies, and procedures GAAP by managing accounting and financial systems and maintaining full and accurate accounting records.
Some of the Financial Manager’s areas of responsibility will include:
Ensure that the company adheres to all financial policies and procedures and to IFRS standards
Ensure financial and internal control systems are maintained in accordance with legislative requirements, generally accepted accounting principles, and SOX compliance
Conducting financial analysis and preparing detailed reports and statements.
Monitor the purchasing functions.
Timely, accurate, and complete reporting of financial results, analysis, and presentation to ensure effective management of the business.
