Responsible for the management and control of a total plant area in the Foundry environment Management of plant availability, planned and breakdown maintenance, roll-out and sustaining of the reliability engineering program, implementation of engineering projects, cost management and CI opportunities Management and coordination of Capex projects, internal and external Contract implementation and management of services required2.7 A responsibilities and ensure compliance to legal requirements Management and development of people Management of SHERQ within the team Qualification: B-Eng. Degree (NQF 8/10) Preferably a structured Junior Management Development Program Experience and Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in Steel Making, Engineering, Fabrication or Ferrous Foundry environment. Knowledge of the Foundry and heavy engineering markets and their requirements would ba an advantage but not essential Management experience in production and maintenance Experience in the management of large engineering projects with clients Confident with the use and implementation of safety and legislative systems, OHSAS 18000, ISO 14000 and ISO 9001 management systems2.7 Appointee Knowledge of the environmental legislation Personal Attributes: Customer orientated Ability to strategize from a business, marketing and operational point of view Change management and project management Communication skills, facilitation skills, analytical thinking and negotiation skills Positive, pro-active and performance driven Ability to function effectively under stress Ability to work independently and collaboratively
