EDUCATION SPECIALIST: ASSESSMENTS AND EXAMINATIONS (PL.2) (HEAD OFFICE & PAARL CAMPUS) Requirements Relevant 3 – year post-matric / tertiary qualification in the related / specialization field/profession Qualification in Education Minimum five years of teaching experience in related programmes Registered with SACEComputer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)Valid driver’s license (compulsory) Responsibilities Overseeing the planning and implementation of the academic programme structure through teaching and practical learning Responsible for the quality assurance of education and training, assessment, moderation and examinations within the Department, across campuses, and of Assessment and Examinations activities across campuses Responsible for the planning of assessment and moderation of subjects in conjunction with the Heads of Department Responsible for compiling Academic Board presentations on results and interventions in conjunction with the Assisstant Director: Curriculum Implementation and Programme Manager: Academic Support Provide administration support for the examination unit Responsible for the planning of training of ICASS and Examination Invigilation per examination cycle Oversee human, financial, and other resources in the unit Attend all meetings relevant to the post Responsible for the offering of subject/unit standards as allocated according to the academic planning Responsible for quality education so that the student receives relevant training according to their specific needs related to DHET, community, and industry Responsible for the assessment and moderation of subject/unit standards as allocated according to the academic planning Recommendations Multilingualism will be an advantage Knowledge of the TVET Sector Registered as an Assessor and or Moderator Please Note: Applications must be submitted on the Z83 application form, obtainable from our website, and must be accompanied by a cover letter and updated CV inclusive of three (3) contactable references, copies of all qualifications, and an I.
