Company: EDH Group Job Type: Full Time Work-Model: On-Site EDH Group Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Electronics Engineer to join ourteam, to develop defense related Doppler Radar products. The role involves designing, developing, and testing electronic hardware and firmware fordefence applications, meeting specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for electronics, a solid foundation in engineering,and a fair amount of experience in defence electronics. Only South African citizens will be considered for the position. The candidate will have opportunities for occasional international travel. Key Responsibilities:● Design and develop electronic hardware and firmware for Doppler radar, includingsystem-level as well as at the level of signal conditioning (amplification and filtering),processors, embedded signal processing, interfaces, and supplies.● Collaborate with cross-functional team members on requirements, specifications,and timelines for new projects, or upgrades to existing products.● Prototyping of designs● Testing and evaluation of systems to ensure function, performance, and compliancewith requirements and standards.● Stay abreast of technologies and methodologies relating to electronics and defensesystems.● Assist in preparing technical documentation, including specifications, testingprocedures, and user documentation.● Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders. Qualifications:● Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from an institution renowned for itscomprehensive academic engineering training, with preference to institutions ranked within the top 800 of the Times Higher Education world university rankings inengineering for 2024.● Any post graduate degree or further education in a relevant area will be anadditional advantage.● At least several years of experience in the development of defence electronics(hardware and firmware).● Proficient in○ Digital and analog circuit design, microcontroller-based systems, andembedded software development.○ Electronic circuit design and simulation.○ High rate analog to digital conversion○ Embedded signal processing, including but not limited to FFT analysis○ Programming in C language● Working knowledge of military standards relevant to defence electronics Personal Attributes:● A passion for electronics and technology with interest in defence applications.● Problem-solving ability, giving attention to detail.● Solution oriented, able to analyze issues but also to conceive and implementsolutions.● Self starting● Loyal, hard working, and dependable● Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks● Can communicate effectively and function effectively in a team environment.
