Job Responsibilities:
Weekly travelling to and sleep over in outlying branches in the the Free state, North Cape and North West provinces.
Provide support to Old Mutual legal advisers in the other regions.
Writes financial planning circulars and provides legal opinions / comments on legislation
Provide legal advice to financial advisors and clients with regard to estate planning, retirement planning, and investment planning and business assurance.
Provide ad hoc training to financial advisors and staff on legal as well as compliance related issues.
Interact with the Legal Advisor Manager, Regional Managers, Sales Managers & Business
Consultants with regard to legal advice and training.
Provide ad hoc legal and marketing presentations to financial advisors and their clients.
Influence sales within Old Mutual Personal Finance
Job Requirements:
Passed the FPI CFP professional competency exam.
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
Completion of Post Graduate Diploma specializing in estate planning will be advantageous.
At least five years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Well-developed presentation and facilitation skills.
Admitted practicing attorney/adv. LLB + articles.
Willing to travel and sleep over.
Own transport essential.
Excellent knowledge of the legislation relating to financial planning.
Completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP).
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
