Shifts: We are hiring for English Editors!!!Tuesday-Saturday & Sunday-Thursday (5 X8 hour shifts) - Day shift/ Swing shift/Night shift Wednesday-Saturday & Sunday-Wednesday (4 X10 hour shifts) - Day shift/Swing shift/Night shift Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree desirable, preferably in English, linguistics and language study majors and/or Entertainment and Media. Knowledge of professional scripting, subtitling, and audio software highly desirable but not a requirement - we will train you from the ground up! Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office and using different software. Excellent reading skills, spelling/vocabulary and grammar. Ability to handle multiple tasks while focusing on a high amount of attention to detail. Ability to perform under pressure with changing priorities. Testing process All candidates will be required to complete an international industry standard transcription test and proofing test. The tests are designed to highlight your English grammar, spelling, punctuation and listening skills. They are also designed to showcase your feel for the type of tasks required for the position. The purpose of the test is not to test your knowledge of the software or technical specifications of subtitling. It is a prerequisite for consideration. Training Successful editors will be given training by our experienced team and approved by a US specialist before beginning work on live projects. The training and initial experience portion will be completed during a paid internship period. Once we have established the groundwork, permanent positions will be made available to all editors able to meet the performance requirements. Training takes roughly 8 weeks, with a further 4-8 weeks of live work before being considered fully trained.
