Incumbent needs to be familiar with the telecommunications industry from civils to tower building processes.
An extremely accurate attention to detail is required
Must be able to draw scale drawings of site layouts on sketch up and be able to draw minor drawings (towers view) in AutoCAD
Must be able to read engineers manufacturing drawings and be able to interpret them to confirm they will suffice for the job at hand.
Must be able to manage people that are site based and ensure the targets are achieved as per the plan put in place.
Have an above average knowledge of working in excel and other office programs.
Have a basic knowledge of HSE and manage the HSE for work to be done.
Communicate in 100% fluent English, Afrikaans with the client, team members and staff.
Advanced report writing to management and clients (Daily and weekly)
Fair knowledge of power point presentations and how to compile them for presentation to a client.
Manage and control all expenses (petty cash) given to operational staff and reconcile to ensure funds are utilized correctly.
A high level of “out of the box” thinking is required.
Able to take responsibility for the function.
Basic financial knowledge for reporting on budgets vs actual expenditure (in an assisting role)
High levels of stress and pressure is common in this position as we expect a lot from the person and you must be able to handle it and effectively perform under this pressure.
Capability to do the costing of new tenders and projects is of utmost importance and controlling the BOQ when the tender is awarded will form part of this position.
Working hours are 07h00 to 17h00 (report at 06h45)and it might be required to work late hours and even Saturdays and Sundays... Basically everything it takes to get the job done.
Ensure procurement and Logistics comply with timelines for the projects
Plan the projects and confirm with management
Ensure operational requirements are met and kept to.
Ensure surveys are done correctly, accurately and on time. Compile detailed survey report inclusive of drawings and site detailed drawing (sketch-up or AutoCAD)
Manage expenses by team members and ensure team expenses balance and report ANY irregular spending or misuse of funds
Manage health and safety for the sites and ensure approvals are received in time for site starts
Daily progress reports on a site bases per team
Weekly progress reports to client (professionally put together)
Site handover reports to be done and used for invoicing to clients.
Negotiations with various departments in government for approvals that might be required
Must be logical and technical to ensure problems on site can be resolved with a technical approach to the problem.
Extremely honest and reliable (we do not tolerate any dishonesty or shrugging of responsibility)
Check fleet tracking report and ensure your teams keep to the site timelines given to them and confront them on non-conformances.
Communicate with the client on regular basis as to the progress (well spoken and with due respect).
Work under extreme pressure in an amicable environment.
Be able to multi task and step into other positions when required to assist other departments.
Have basic knowledge of financial reports in order to monthly report to management on budget vs. actual achieved.Please email a cv to [email protected]
