Position Overview: The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding market presence through effective leadership, strategic planning, and proficient lead conversion strategies. This position requires a results-driven individual with a keen understanding of scalable sales techniques and a proven ability to convert leads into successful sales outcomes. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Leadership and Strategy: Execute existing sales strategies and develop new ones to achieve company objectives, with a focus on expanding market share and driving revenue growth. Collaborate with management to set sales targets, forecast sales volumes, and establish strategic priorities. 2. Lead Generation and Conversion: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, networking, and relationship building. Implement effective sales processes and methodologies to convert leads into sales, utilising a combination of inbound and outbound techniques. Analyse sales data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in the lead generation and conversion process. 3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. Develop strategies to retain existing customers and maximise lifetime value through upselling, cross-selling, and renewal initiatives. 4. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance against targets, analysing variances and identifying corrective actions as needed to ensure alignment with business objectives. Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning. Utilise CRM systems and other sales tools to track customer interactions, manage pipelines, and streamline sales processes. 5. Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, conducting regular research and analysis to inform sales strategies and tactics. Identify emerging opportunities and potential threats in the market, adjusting sales approaches accordingly to maintain a competitive edge. Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to gather insights and feedback from customers, informing product enhancements and go-to-market strategies. 6. Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Continuously seek opportunities to optimise sales processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience through innovation and technology. Encourage a culture of experimentation and learning within the sales team, promoting the adoption of new tools, techniques, and best practices. Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay abreast of latest developments and build industry connections. 7. Scalability and Growth: Identify opportunities for scalable growth within the business, exploring new markets, segments, and channels to expand the customer base and drive incremental revenue. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for scaling sales operations, including geographic expansion, product diversification, and partnership development. Proactively assess organisational capabilities and resources, identifying areas for investment and optimization to support sustainable growth and long-term success.
